Skye Clayton is a Clinical Research Coordinator in the department of surgery in TTMRC. She has 6 years of research experience in addition to 3 years experience in patient care in the prehospital setting. She has helped coordinate a singular site of a longitudinal study and multiple externally funded studies at the University of Pittsburgh. She is involved in the regulatory processes as well as clinical hands-on care of patients in multiple studies
Michael Cripps, M.D., is a Professor of Surgery and the Section Chief for Trauma Acute Care Surgery in the GITES Division at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the Trauma Medical Director for the Anschutz Medical Campus. He specializes in acute care surgery, including trauma, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery. His research focuses on guided resuscitation of patients in hemorrhagic shock, acute traumatic coagulopathy, venous thromboembolism prevention, and the development of scoring systems for emergency general surgery.
Board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, Dr. Cripps earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and performed his residency in general surgery at the University of California, San Francisco-East Bay. He received fellowship training in Trauma Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Critical Care at University of California San Francisco. He earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Science at UT Southwestern. Prior to becoming Section Chief at University of Colorado, Dr. Cripps spent 9 years at Parkland Memorial Hospital as a UT Southwestern faculty where he served in several key leadership roles including ICU Director, Fellowship Director, Trauma Medical Director, and Medical Director of Disaster Management.
