Themes for THOR-25 (May 18-21) will be Hemostatic Resuscitation in Austere Environments and Future Directions to Improve Outcomes. Submissions that fit within these themes will be prioritized.
Categories of sessions can be submitted into the following areas:
- Clinical Practice: Practical resuscitation or trauma care information.
- Clinical Trial Data: Data from retrospective, prospective observational or trials.
- Case Presentations: Moderator led session of cases that illustrate or review RDCR/DCR principles.
- Clinical Debates: Moderator led debates of controversial topics.
- Novel Clinical Trial Designs: Trial methods that can analyze precision transfusion medicine interventions, assays or decision support tools.
- Assay or Product Development: Insights into methods or developmental pathways that can generate products needed for precision transfusion medicine to include assay development and therapeutics.
- Basic Science: Mechanisms and biologic effects of shock, immune, endothelial and hemostatic dysfunctiion secondary to traumatic shock. These submissions must have some clinical relevance or potential clinical relevance to either prehospital or in hospital providers.
- Interdisciplinary: Presentations of non-trauma related topics that can inform on the efficacy and safety of hemostatic resuscitation or review the common biology between illnesses and injury.
The sessions submitted can be for either 60 or 90 minutes that include time for discussion. Submissions should include the title of the presentations, suggested speakers with contact info and a short summary of the objectives of each presentation. Submissions can include commercial products, but they must be focused on scientific information or clinical data preferably presented by a non-industry presenter. Presentations that appear to be commercials or marketing material will not be considered for the main agenda.
The deadline for submissions is 7 November 2024. The Agenda Topic Submission will be closed on this date and additional submissions will not be considered after this date.
